Taught Intro to UX Design at Northwest Christian High School

On February 18, I had the honor of being asked to return to Northwest Christian High School in Lacey, Washington for the second year in a row. There, I gave a short intro course on UX Design to the technology students (starting with a presentation about what UX was and why it was important) and then lead the students in a series of UX exercises. We started with a card sorting exercise aimed at rethinking their school’s website navigation.

By the end of the effort, the students had shared a number of thoughtful ideas about how to organize the school’s navigation, and became quite involved in the hands-on exercises.
